My Week That Was #5

Well February is finally here and with it brings the adverse weather that we have been hearing the threat of the last few weeks.

As it is Sunday it is time for another ‘My Week That Was’ my new linky which does exactly what it says- a journal of what you have done with your week.  After all a major part of blogging is keeping a record of your memories- however dull or boring.  I have had one of those weeks this week but without further ado…

My week that was…

Monday was a work day and although I have been slightly bored since I went back off maternity leave and am no longer in the same role I used to be, the day went quite quickly.  Thats always a plus- I would rather be ridiculously busy than doing nothing at all as it makes the day whizz by.

Tuesday was another work day but when I got home I found that my little present to myself had arrived- my lovely new camera necklace which I adore.  A few people in the blog world and real life have asked me where I got it from- it was £3 off ebay.  Bargain.

Wednesday was an exciting day- my Mum opened the doors of her first beauty salon.  ‘The Beauty Lounge’ will be doing an array of beauty treatments including nails, facials, massages and waxing.  I am incredibly proud of her and her first day went incredibly well- lots of pink champagne was drunk and we had a pub lunch to celebrate.

Thursday was a lovely day- I went and had my nails done in the morning- I had hearts for Valentines Day.  One big perk of my mum having the salon is that Mads can come in and run riot and I don’t have to feel scared or on edge- I would never normally take her to have anything like that done.  She had a great time cruising the furniture, eating biscuits and of course seeing Grandma.  In the afternoon I had friends over for cakes and crisps- the babies had a lovely time playing and we had a great time catching up.

We went to Cambridge for the day on Friday with one of my good friends and her son.  It was a lovely day and we spent hours mooching round the shops, having numerous drinks in cafes to give the babies snacks, and of course a lovely lunch at Giraffe.

I bought some rather nice shoes- I am not normally a trainer person but thought these were too cute not too buy.

Saturday morning Mr E and Mads went out for a bit to give me some time to concentrate on my freelance work, I believe they went to Tesco’s and did the food shop before going into town for a coffee- I love hearing about all their little adventure’s they get up to.  He really is the best Daddy and husband I could ask for.  The evening was spent eating curry and watching trashy TV.  Perfect.

Sunday we woke up to a blanket of snow- it was beautiful and we had a great time playing in it.  It was Mads first experience of snow and I loved watching her little face, she was so puzzled.  Sunday chill out days with my little family are quite possibly my favourite things in the whole world.  As we speak Mr E is cooking my favourite meal in the whole word- risotto, so I am getting rather excited!

And that was my week that was.

If you would like to join up and tell us about your week the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn’t just have to be on a Sunday.  You can grab the badge too.  Have a good week!
