My Week That Was #29
Another week has passed us by and I am still on a bit of a blogging and twitter lull, if you hadn’t noticed by my lack of posts. Hopefully I will be back to my old blogging self soon but in the meantime here is My Week That Was.
Monday was a work day and nothing exciting happened at all. My mum was on holiday in Majorca for the week so we didn’t go over there for our usual Monday night dinner and catch up. Mr E had the day off with Mads and I got a lovely little text with a photo on from them both- my hubby is definitely the best.
Tuesday I had a doctors appointment first thing so I went into work slightly late. Unfortunately this did not make the time go quicker, in fact if anything it made it slower. In the evening we went over to my Grandmas for dinner which was lovely- we always love seeing them and Mads loves her great grandparents.
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then came home- I was supposed to be having a productive afternoon of tidying but instead I slobbed out on the sofa and felt very cross with myself afterwards.
Thursday was my day off so Mads and I met a friend for coffee in the morning which was nice, and then we went to the dentist. I unfortunately got told I needed my first filling which I was not very happy about, I was proud of getting to nearly 30 with no fillings. Thankfully though it is in one of my wisdom teeth which is still coming through- so its right at the back. Mads was a very good girl and let the dentist look at her teeth- she found it very fun and asked for more when he had stopped- she got her first sticker! In the afternoon Mads had a big sleep and I attempted my tidying from the day before.
Friday we were supposed to be having one of my Little Dish colleagues over for the day but Mads was a bit under the weather and clingy so in the end we postponed her visit. We ended up having a nice and well deserved day at home together. Mr E came home in the evening and we had Domino’s Pizza which was a nice treat at the end of the week.
Saturday we got up and went to the Gymnastics club near our house. There are actually two people from there in the Olympics Gym squad so that is exciting. It is so much fun as they open it up to children in the mornings- there are literally trampolines, vaults, soft play and beams everywhere- Mads adores going there. In the afternoon we met up with our friends in the park and had a picnic before coming home and having a snuggly night in.
Sunday was a lovely chilled out day- we met a friend for coffee in the morning to give Mr E a chance to do a bit of gardening, and then we played out in the garden most of the day. In the afternoon we went over to my Mums for a BBQ and stayed until about 8pm. It was a very nice relaxing day and I love spending time with my family.
And that was My Week That Was.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn’t just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.
