My Week That Was #26
Today has been a slow week- my first week back at work after a month off. But we have got through it!
Without further ado here is My Week That Was.
Monday was my first day back at work. I was expecting it to be awful but actually it went quite quickly. Nothing exciting happened whatsoever though.
Tuesday was another work day and yet again it was boring. This one went a lot slower and by the afternoon I wanted to scream- you know those days when you keep clock watching? In the evening my sister came over and we had Dominoes pizza- naughty but very yummy indeed.
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon I came home and did some freelance work. In the evening the sun decided to show itself for a while so Mr E and I ate our dinner on our new patio that my Dad kindly did for us as a surprise. It was lovely and we sat and put the world to rights.
Thursday I went to a doctors appointment in the morning and my sister very kindly came along and watched Mads for me, and then in the afternoon we went over to one of our friends for a play date. It was lovely to catch up and we all marvelled about how grown up our babies were when they were playing outside in the garden.
Friday we went to the local soft play place in our town with a friend of ours and her son. Mads and him were in their element running around, and it was quiet which meant that they went in the big bit too! We had lunch there and then we came home and Mads had a two and a half hour snooze. This was lovely for me and for once, I did no housework or other work and had a little nap as well. It was so nice but as is always the way with naps, I felt rubbish when I woke up! I only did it about twice when she was a baby and now I remember why.
Saturday I went into Cambridge to meet one of my best friends for lunch. She has a ten month old little girl who is my goddaughter but for once we left the babies at home as it is so hard to get some proper gossiping done when trying to entertain them too. We went for a yummy lunch, and then I came home to Mr E and Mads who had made a cheese cake in my absence! In the evening my sister came round again and we watched the new American Pie film which was very funny- Mr E cooked a risotto and we tried out the cheesecake which luckily tasted as good as it looked.
Sunday Mr E got up early and headed off to Manchester to see the Stone Roses. He will be gone most of the day and won’t be back until about 2am so Mads and I are just having a lazy Sunday at home. We are in our PJ’s, have shared a naughty pizza for lunch and now currently she is in bed asleep while I am catching up on some well needed blog reading. I haven’t sat down and read any blogs properly all week.
And that was My Week That Was.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn’t just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.
