My Week That Was #20
This week has been a lovely one and I am sad that it is over. I cannot believe that we are now twenty weeks into the year, it is passing by far too quickly.
Without further ado here is My Week That Was…
Monday was a work day and we all know how much I love them- it went quite quickly though which is always a bonus. In the evening we went over to my Mum’s for dinner which was nice- it is lovely having my Mum just five minutes down the road, especially cause I lived apart from her for years.
Tuesday was another work day and I can’t think of anything exciting that happened at all.
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon I came back home and did some freelance work which was nice- it is nice having an afternoon to myself to get bits done. I wasn’t in a very good mood in the evening, I don’t know why, I was just having one of those days and I got a lovely surprise when Mr E came back with a bottle of pink sparkly and a card for me. He is a very thoughtful husband- we snuggled on the sofa and watched a chick flick!
Thursday was spent having a quiet relaxing day- we met our friends in Sainsburys cafe for a spot of lunch (oh the glamour) and did some bits and pieces in town, before coming home. Mads had a nice long nap and I tidied up and did some jobs, my sister came over as well for a bit so it was nice to see her. In the evening our friends from Newcastle came down to see us, they had to stay in a hotel as we no longer have a spare room in our three bedroom house, so we went to meet them and met their 10 week old girl for the first time. She was gorgeous.
Friday Mr E had to go to work so I entertained our friends. We went for a walk and met Mr E for lunch by the river, before going into town and having a sandwich. In the afternoon we just chilled out at home and relaxed and caught up. Mads was ever so gentle with the baby which was nice to see- she makes me very proud. In the evening Mr E cooked one of his lovely risotto’s and we had a nice time chatting and reminising.
On Saturday we got up and sorted Mads passport out, we are cutting it fine as it is three weeks till we travel to Spain but hopefully it will get there in time. We then met our friends and went over to the little town where I grew up for lunch and a walk. In the afternoon we went swimming, and it was lovely to see just how much Mads enjoyed it- her face was pure delight. In the evening the boys babysat so myself and Emma could go out for dinner- we had a great evening and drank lots of wine and ate very tasty food. It was the first time she had been out since having the baby so all in all it was a lovely time.
Sunday morning we waved goodbye to our friends, and it was sad to see them go as we don’t get to see them as much as we would like to. We went to Tesco and got some bits and then came home and got in our pj’s. We then enjoyed some well deserved rest and family time- playing, watching films and relaxing. A perfect Sunday.
And that was My Week That Was.
