My Week That Was #17

It is Sunday again, I know I say it every week but the weeks are passing us by so quickly.  This week has flown by and before you know it’s Monday again.  I am getting excited as it is only about six weeks until my holiday- we are only going to Spain for a week but still I am so looking forward to the break.

Without further ado here is My Week That Was…

Monday was a work day- the time passed even slower than usual.  I constantly ask to be kept busy but since changing my job role it is really hard for me.  It is also frustrating cause I have so much freelance work that I could be doing at home but I should be thankful to have a job at all- I know that.  Nothing much happened of interest.

Tuesday was another work day- again it went very slowly.

Wednesday Mr E had the day off to look after Mads in the morning as my Mum was on holiday.  I came home from work at 12 and we went to a soft play place- it was fun as Mr E hasn’t been to one with us for ages because we never go at the weekend when it is busy.  We had good fun playing and climbing.  In the afternoon we spent three hours tidying the house- I don’t actually mind tidying as I am a complete clean freak- once it is done it makes you feel so much better.  We had my favourite dinner in the world risotto for dinner- Mr E made a lovely chorizo, pepper and pea one.

Thursday was spent with one of my Little Dish colleagues.  She came down to the house to spend the day with myself and Mads and get to know us better.  We had a lovely day brainstorming and Mads had a three hour sleep in the morning which was helpful.  We went to a local garden centre for lunch.  Working for Little Dish really is fab and I love it a lot, we have lots of exciting things coming up for bloggers in the future.  On Thursday evening we went over to my Grandparents for dinner- they are amazing and I could dedicate my whole blog to how grateful I for the things they do for us.

On Friday we went for a pub lunch with an NCT friend of mine and her son.  It was one of these places that have a soft play place attached to it so that was good- the food isn’t exactly great in places like that but you know exactly what you are getting so we had a nice time.  In the afternoon I went over to my Mum’s salon and had my fingers and toenails redone, plus I had my armpits waxed.  Ouch!  I am so lucky that I get to be pampered for free, and Mads loves going over to see her Grandma- she has a huge box of toys over there that the old ladies that come in have donated.

Saturday was spent chilling out.  Mr E let me have a nice long lie in, and then we went to Tesco to do our weekly shop.  We then popped over to my Dad’s and he wanted to have Mads for a bit so Mr E and I went home and had a couple of hours to ourselves.  Mr E had a bit of work to do so I spent a bit of time writing some blog posts for I heart snapping, it was nice to get a few done all in one go.  In the evening we relaxed and snuggled on the sofa watching trashy reality tv and Mr E cooked fajitas!

Sunday was a lovely day.  We got treated to a lie in by Mads (who is now sleeping from 7am till 8.30am- as if it couldn’t get any better!) and then we went swimming at a local beach pool with our friends and their son.  It was great and I haven’t seen Mads so happy in ages- she was such a daredevil and loved going under the waterfalls and getting dunked, plus she loved zooming around in the rapids.  We then went out to good old pizza hut for lunch which was yummy, I haven’t been in ages and it is great for children.  We ate so much though.  In the afternoon Mr E treated me to a little snooze and a bath which was rather nice.
